A natural colour-change sapphire from Madagascar, cut in a compact oval. In cool florescent light it reads as smoky blue-grey with flashes of steel, shifting towards plum and violet under warmer incandescent light. The change is subtle but distinct, giving the stone a moody, responsive quality that alters with its surroundings.

Part of Studio Stones, this sapphire is offered as the starting point for a semi-custom Gabriella Luchini piece. Its balanced oval shape and excellent durability make it well suited to either a ring or pendant, with the finished design intended to frame rather than overpower its changing colour.
